 Manbir Khurana, Convener, Southeast Region

 

 

 

  • Graduated in Textile Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1985

Manbir brings over 20 years of experience of sales management and business development to Vector Consulting. As Vice President of Sales and Delivery, he oversees all aspects of sales and delivery operations and business development activities. Manbir has been responsible for managing and servicing strategic accounts and enabling Vector's growth through new client generation and alliances. He is currently involved with establishing Vector's Offshore Operations with a focus on building a world-class delivery engine in anticipation of Vector's future growth and revenue diversification initiatives.

Prior to joining Vector in 1999, Manbir helped establish two business ventures in India.  Additionally, he worked with HCL, Pertech Computers Limited (PCL) and Microland; where he held various responsibilities including the Sales Function, Credit Control, and Logistics & Warehousing.

 

Dr. Ramji Ramachandran, Pan-IIT Southeast Region



  • Graduated in chemical Engineering  from IIT Madras  in 1969
  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester

Ramji Ramachandran is a B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) graduate from IIT Madras.  He got his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester. Ramji worked at DuPont in Wilmington, DE in various business units – Pigments, Chemicals and Fibers. After the successful launch of Stainmaster® carpet brand, DuPont transferred Ramji to Dalton, Georgia - the ‘carpet capital of the world’ to work closely with carpet mill partners.  When Shell launched a new polymer (Corterra®) with excellent value in carpets end-use, Ramji joined the Corterra team at the request of Shell and helped commercialize this new product worldwide.

Ramji started the Atlanta chapter of IIT Madras Alumni Association in 2001.  In 2003, Ramji and Manbir Khurana joined forces and started an Alumni Association in Atlanta for graduates from all IITs.  This group has since grown to include IIT alumni from all southeastern states – Georgia, Tennessee, North & South Carolinas, Florida and Alabama.  Ramji served as the chairman for a session at the IIT 2005 Global Conference that had Dr. Larry Summers (Harvard U. President) as the keynote speaker.
