The goals of IITNT, a 501c3 organization are:

  • To further the reputation and brand-building vision for the IITs in the North Texas area
  • To create and maintain a networking forum for IIT alumni in the North Texas area, and thereby
  • To facilitate real contributions, financial and other, to the IITs.

Apart from professional and social networking meetings, the signature event of IITNT is its annual one-day conference. IITNT's 3rd Annual One-Day Conference in May, 2007 was “The New Knowledge Economy:  Global Trends and Opportunities”. This paid event has attracted 250- 500 high-caliber business and technology executives from across Texas, the US and even India. The goal of this year’s conference was to bring technology, business, and policy leaders together to explore opportunities and examine the challenges created by regional and global knowledge-based economy, and discuss how it is being impacted in a rapidly emerging one market, one people world. Speakers and panelists in the 2007 event included Dr. Krish Prabhu, CEO of Tellabs, Dr. Sandeep Chennakeshu, Sr. Vice President of Freescale Semiconductor, Dr. Vijay Mahajan, the John P. Harbin Centennial Chair and Professor of Marketing at the McCombs School of Business, UT-Austin, and several other successful and high profile individuals from academia and industry.

 

Dr. Raj Menon, President IITNT, Dallas

 

  • Graduated from IIT Bombay in 1988. 
  • PhD from the University of Texas at Austin
  • MBA from the University of Texas at Austin

 
Raj Menon is a co-founder and the President of the IIT Alumni Association of North Texas (IITNT) which is the Pan-IIT chapter based in the Dallas, Texas area.  He is a graduate of IIT Bombay, class of 1988, and has a Ph.D. and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.  He is President and CEO of Flat World Design - a full-service promotional marketing agency and serves on the Board of Directors of the IIT Bombay Heritage Fund, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Texas Exes - an association of alumni from The University of Texas at Austin.  Raj was a former member of the Pan-IIT Executive Committee and is very interested in enhancing professional development, leadership coaching, and networking among IIT alumni.
