A major bi-ennial  pan IIT conference is held in India, the next one is scheduled for Chennai, in December 2008.

Other pan-IIT gatherings are held in some cities in India including Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune,and Surat.
