President/Coordinator– Manish Joddar
This chapter was formed in March 2006. Presently the member strength of this Chapter is 36 and slowly growing. The activities of this Chapter till date has been
- Hosting dinner and get-together of IIT Alumni at Columbus, Ohio during visit of Prof Madhusudhan Chakraborty, Dean IIT Kharagpur.
- Informal get-together’s at the residence’s of IIT Alumni at Columbus, Ohio
- Planning for Annual Picnic’s in August.
We have not yet thought of having a formal organization structure for this Chapter as it is in the early stages of its inception but we do anticipate the formation of an Executive Committee to run the annual and quarterly events of the Chapter in future
Manish Joddar
- Graduated from IIT Kharagpur in 1995
- Post Graduate from National Institute of Industrial Engineering 1997
Manish Joddar – Started career in USA in August 2005 and presently with
Limited Brands taking care of Logistics (Asia/Pacific). Before coming to USA was
staying in Tokyo, Japan and have worked for Toyota Motor Corporation and Toshiba
Corporation and have fluency of reading/writing and speaking Japanese language.
Previously to coming USA I was involved with the activities of IIT Japan Chapter
during my stay in Japan. Created a new chapter for IIT Alumni in Columbus, Ohio
actively engaged in organizing annual get-together’s and social-events. Along
with IIT Alumni involvement I also involve myself with M.S Swaminathan
Foundation and other social organization in India.
